Wait, I went to Shorts Marine on Saturday to get a part and they told me they own the Full Tilt showroom down the street and that is where their store is now. Went down there to get my part and a friend of mine said that the owner of Full Tilt sold out to Shorts

Well, not sure what's going on but my friend's sister was just let go yesterday - owner said they were closing. Now I also heard today that Jaws Marine purchased the Grasonville, MD location. Hope that my friends sister has a way of getting her job back or re-hired if Jaws did purchase their site.

Maybe I can help shed some light on your discussion. Short's Marine Inc. acquired the assets to Full Tilt Marine (Millsboro,DE) on the 1st of August 2008. This aquisition was only for the location on Long Neck Rd in Millsboro, DE. There is no affiliation with the Grasonville, MD or Woodbridge, VA locations. Although the names are the same the MD and VA locations are not associated in any way with the Millsboro, DE. location. I hope this helped clear up any confusion.....

Thanks. Who are you by the way? How will Shorts utilize Full Tilt's assets?

Short's Marine Inc. has rehired most of the Full Tilt Marine staff members. I know over time Short's Marine has plans to make some changes. They have already moved most of their accessories over to the old Full Tilt Marine showroom so they can display more product. Short's also picked up Tahoe, Honda, & Carolina Skiff. It would seem to me that combining the experience and knowledge of these two companies would be beneficial to supporting everyones boating needs.

I have always had very positive experiences with Short's Marine, specifically with their service and canvas shops. I hope with the acquisition that they continue to be very service oriented.

Hello everyone. I wanted to post and put a stop to any questions pertaining to JAWS Marine buying Full Tilt or JAWS Marine going out of business. Jaws Marine was renting space from Full Tilt so we could have a second showroom on the Eastern shore to better serve our new customers. We did not however have any service over there, all service stayed in our Curtis Bay location. We were trying to buy that location but just wasn't in our cards so in November we brought all of the inventory that we had there back to Curtis Bay. Recently we have taken down our banners and flags do to Full Tilt closing. Full Tilt has nothing to do with us and we are still open selling and servicing all makes and models of boats and engines! So if there are anymore questions please feel free to contact us and will can help you out and set the record straight.

Thanks very much for your support over the past year and we look forward to continuing our support to you!

Thanks!
