Who is the best charter boat for bottomfishing is VA - The Hull Truth

I am looking for a charter boat that does blackfish(tautog) charters in VA. I am looking to go in March . I heard that most boats dont anchor for them, rather they drift? Is that true?

Yes,They drift due to the best bite is up next to either side of the wreck.
Blind Date Charters with Stan Gold and Rick Williams are 2 of the best for BIG fish.

Jake is a nice guy and did put me on bottom fish. He was NOT ready to go on the appointed day because he did not have enough fuel on board. That was frustrsting.

I really appreciate the help guys . My other question is do these guys bottom fish for tautog? I understand that they are good captains, but it is a different type of fishing and I want to go with someone that does it for a living not just someone looking to make some money.

The guys I am going with are all captains and mates and if we showed up at the boat and the captain tries to talk us into going "Rockfishing" my crew will more than likely leave me in VA. Also being that it is march we were looking for someone with more of a lobster style hull.

Stan was at my shop today showing me pictures of his trip on Sunday catching 54lb snowy grouper,golden tilefish,blueline tilefish up to 18lbs and black seabass up to 5.5lbs.
