Default Tidewater suggestions

We are new boaters, we have a 1988 Larson, 21' and are looking for a nice day trip for this weekend. Weather should be nice, but we would like to explore the area and will probably launch at Ocean View off Willoughby Spit. Any suggestions for a nice day trip?

head across to hampton there is lots to see the channel entrance is right next to the hrbt or you can go to downtown norfolk/portsmouth to waterside.

If you'd like a longer cruise than Hampton, just go up the James River and over the Monitor Merrimac BT. You can cruise under the James RIver Bridge up to the Ghost Fleet and even on to Jamestown for a day trip. Stop off back at Hampton for dinner.

You can also shoot straight across from Willougby and up the York River to Yorktown. Its a nice cruise and Yorktown is a sweet little town. It has a couple coves protected by break waters that you can anchor in and swim ashore. Also has some nice sand beaches and restaurants to grab a bite to eat. I have visited by car numerous times and plan on making the trip from Suffolk by boat either this weekend or next.
