Cobia fishing in Tangier Sound? - The Hull Truth

Is it worth pursuing? I'd be coming down from Breezy Point, or maybe launching out of Solomons. Alternatively, if anyone is planning on doing this anyway, I'd be willing to pay for my share of the fuel as well.

I didn't know there were cobia in the Tangier Sound. Are folks catching any now? Is this just a seasonal fishery, or is there a resident population?

Potentially, it sounds real interesting. It's a long trip from Annapolis, but cobia are exciting gamefish.

From what I've read, reports say that Cobia go "as far north as Tangier Sound". I've read that multiple places, so I'm assuming it's true. Whether it's rare or common, I can't say. My guess would be that they're in that area in July and August maybe?
