Default Fog

It was 89 at the house this morning, at the off ramp from 50 to Sandy Point it was down to 79 and fog. The water was socked in with fog. Lots of people pulling out were warning of the danger and the "idiots" running around in the limited vis. I went out but stayed close to the bridge and the inlet to the marina. Within an hour or so the fog had mostly lifted. The air temp and quality was great and the water wasn't too rough, ended up being a great day on the water. Checked out Dobbins Island on the Magothy, nice place to take a dip. Didn't sound like the fish were biting today from the people I talked with.

Absolutely spooky driving over the bridge. You could not see the water & could just barely make out the other bridge

Very infrequently need radar on the Bay, but sure gives piece of mind when you need it

We were fishing a few weeks ago and were socked in by fog and we were letting other boats that did not have radar know when a ship was in the area

There was a similar condition on the lower bay Friday afternoon around the CBBT. It just kept getting thicker and thicker throughout the afternoon. Strange indeed.

Default RE: Fog

I was out at the Cabbage Patch Friday evening. Going out around 5 pmfog but it cleared as we neared the Eastern Shore. Watched it rolling in from Norfolk as the sun went down. Around 9 or so we decided to hop over to the tunnel. Couldn't see 15 feet in front of us. We decided to call it and headed back to Little Creek at a very slow speed. Thick until we passed the second island at about 10:00pm, then clear as a bell. Saw a few boneheads going WOT!
