Default Shore bound for now!

Other than surf fishing, where can I go to catch some quality fish... any recommendations? I just moved up from TN. and I'm trying to get my bearings!

Thanks for the advice!

where do you live? There are fishing peirs in Norfolk, Va Beach, the CBBT, Hampton, Avon NC, Duck NC, and there are a lot of headboats around.

CaptKennyW,

I'm the same guy who posted New to Surf Fishing, I live in Westminster, MD. About 1.5 hours from Annapolis, 3.5 hrs from OC.

Kayak on the eastern shore would produce a lot more options. Although that is a long way for a "day trip".

There are some guys from the upper bay area that post some on here that might know some spots up there.

Good Luck!

Before I got my first MD boat I used to drive down the Rod/n/Reel in Chesapeake Beach during rock fish season you can go out and get your limit with a half day on the head boat. I never once came back without my limit in two years.

hey zman - go check out the forums at tidalfish.com. here's their latest fishing report: http://www.tidalfish.com/Maryland_Fi..._articleid/448

the forums over there are great for fishing in the chesapeake. there should be plenty of opportunities around the head of the bay. you're also not to far from the trout streams in pennsylvania if you're loking for freshwater.
