Were thinking of bringing our 27 foot cruiser down to the bay area for a couple of days. Would prefer just to anchor somewhere over night

looking for a place to anchor overnight in the delaware bay area like a back bay or something

In the Lewes area there is a town dock and a city owned marina with some transient slips. If you want to anchor out, behind the inner wall(breakwater) is a nice spot and is protected during all but the worst NW storms. There is also Rehoboth Bay, very shallow though. I'd recommend the transient dock option myself.
