Not sure if I am in the correct forum but I figured this would be a good place to start. So we usually fish the Canyons off the RI coast however this winter the boat went south and is currently in Norfolk VA. It will be there a while and I was trying to plan a trip down to do some canyon fishing. Can someone clue me into when the canyons start heating up in that area?

I was gona start looking at my SST charts but they can only be so helpful.

You will get better info on the offshore boards tidalfish.com and vbsf.com. You will see reports on these 2 website when the start snappin.

The Chesapeake area of this forum used to have some fish chatter, but it is basically dead on that level now. Check the forums that Itcavery said and another one i rely on is sportfishermen.com. As soon as a few eddies move into the Norfolk the guys will be chatting it up and planning trips. I know I am ready and excited for the blue water to get here.
