Was just below the WW bridge... so technically east of DC..

Released everything... but talk about a lot of fun and some good action!

I use to catch them from shore off the GW Parkway. Feeding on the sewage spills from DC really fattens them up. I wouldn't eat them though.

yeah considering i'm only fishing about 1 mile below blue plains i definetly dont plan on eating any of these guys
using a variety of baits, always chunked or filet's, bluegill, white perch, shad etc.

I would be happy to take someone out for these bruiser blue cats on the potomac and show them all the tips / techniques I know.

Looking for someone to show me some tips / techniques for hooking up on some rockfish by trolling / chumming / live lining in the upper bay (sandy point to baltimore)

I would be interested in going out.

I am new to Catfishing but have had success. I just came back from Williamsburg and fished the Chickahominy right where it connects to the James and caught several blues the largest was just over 27 lbs. Lost a bigger one because I had my drag set to tight when he whipped it and snapped my line.

I know a couple holes that a friend told me about in an area I hear is the best area for big Blue Catfish on the Potomac. He caught a 54 lb and a 35 lb there in a 10 minute span on half a bluegill.

I wouldve gone there already on my own but, I just dont trust my smaller bass boat with its unreliable motor on the lower potomac right now.

Would also love to improve my techniques and know what gear works best.

Contact me. I live in Virginia and have an annual boat ramp pass that is good for The Pohick Bay Park boat ramp. Its on the VA side accross from Piscataway. Just south of Mount Vernon if by an off chance you were not sure where it was.

Thanks, Brekkon
