North American Marine Group (Regulator dealer, etc) has been sold to American Global Yacht Group. Good news?

Not sure what this means to me as a potential boat buyer. Took a test drive in a Southport the other day--definitely on my short list. Are these guys especially nice/not nice to do business with?

I've been told that improving service is a top priority. They now have the Formula line as well.

Anyone dealt with these folks recently? Any recommendations on a sales person to ask for when calling from out of state?

Thanks!

Check in with Michael Sandusky. Email is michaels@namg.net.

i was shopping this spring and walked into their place one saturday with a list of 4 used boats that they had listed. amazingly, all 4 had been sold in the previous 2 weeks (the bay bridge boat show had just been the weekend before). anyway, michael was really easy to deal with. he could have immediately started pushing boats that didn't meet my needs or my budget. he didn't try to sell me anything...we just talked about boats, and he even recommended some other makes that i should look into...makes that they didn't even carry. he followed up with a couple of emails on boats that he found for us that met our needs and budget. we didn't end up buying from him (we found our boat elsewhere), so i don't know how good he is at closing and following through on any promises made as conditions of the sale. but he seems like an earnest enough guy.

btw, they have some beautiful southports in their showroom. i used to think the scout abaco was the best looking express, but i think southport has got them now! that 28 is just freakin' beautiful.
