Hello all. I'm a newbie looking for a marina to store my 24ft boat. Don't need anything too fancy, just need a secure place to keep my boat on its trailer and a boat ramp to launch. Ok, maybe a hose to wash it off and flush the motor too, (I think you know what I mean).........Nothing crazy, just all the basics. I currently live about 5 min from Sandy Point State Park. I would not be opposed to the Eastern Shore. If anyone from the surrounding area has any ideas for me, they would be greatly appreciated. Storage rates would be excellent as well!!! Thank you very much.
On the wetern side I like Holiday Hill Marina over in Mayo / Edgewater MD. Not fancy but perfect for what you are looking for. It has ice, water to wash you boat, restrooms, showers, and a place to change. www.holidayhillmarina.com Please let me know if you find anything on the Eastern side. If I could find something like holiday hill marina close to Kent Narrows / Eastern Bay I'd be there. Thank you
We kept our previous boat on a trailer at Holiday Hill Marina. Worked great. Ramp can get a bit crazy on a weekend afternoon but other than that it was great. I think it was $800.00 for the whole year in 2005.

Found this old post and was wondering if anyone has any recent experience with Holiday Hill Marina. I am looking to stay within this general area (around 50/Bay Bridge) and not break the bank.
I am looking for a place to store my 21CC Sailfish on a trailer that has a ramp so I can launch it. Need the basics like a place to wash my boat, flush engines etc. Originally I was looking at the Bay Bridge Marina, but just found out they do not have a ramp. I really liked their amenities, but I would have to trailer my boat a couple of miles to launch it - inconvenient.
Are you looking at Holiday Hill Marina in Edgewater? If so I use Mayo Ridge Marina it is near Holiday Hill but on the South River, no frills and they offer a land/trailer/ramp package. I only use the ramp and drive it home when done. They are putting a new ramp in any day they say.

I came across a thread from 2006 which included some commentary from you regarding the Mayo Ridge Marina and the shallow incline of the ramp and the "no power" rule. Has the marina addressed this issue? Any problems trailering your boat during low tide?
They are putting a new ramp in this month, it should be an improvement from the one they have now. The guy who runs is should be there on the weekends to see if that has changed. I have a roller trailer so it works for me, a float on not sure at low tide, again new ramp should help.

Thanks my man! Glad to hear about the ramp. I have a bunk so hopefully it will not present an issue. Our boats are similar in size so if you are not have any trouble I should be okay. I spoke with John and I plan to go by there this weekend. Thanks again.

Does anyone know anything about this "no power" rule at at Mayo Ridge? Do they enforce such a thing? The way I see it, there's no other way to get a boat onto a trailer with skids.
As a new guy absorbing a lot of info here, another factor you may want to consider in selecting a marina is if they have someone certified there to service your brand of engine. However you have a trailer so that may not be too much of an issue.
