tying up at annapolis?? - The Hull Truth

How does it work? We ended up at Annapolis (by car) last weekend and fould it a wonderful place. Next year, we'd like to come by boat. How does the city docking work? Who to call on what channel? Or first come first served? We only have an 22 foot o/b so we can probably fit in most anywhere. So, is the info online or what? Lots of time to make plans. It's getting darned uncomfortable about now, and the T3 is about to get hauled. Advice is welcome.

Dock space and moorings are available on a first come, first served basis. Dock space may be rented in a slip or on the bulkhead at an hourly (maximum of 3 hours) or daily rate. The hourly rate is $6.00/hr for boats up to 50' long and $12.00/hr for boats 51' and longer, electrical hookup included. The overnight rate is $2.00/ft, electrical hookup not included.. There are no hourly rates at the moorings; the overnight fee for use of a mooring is $25.00. The moorings are restricted to boats no longer than 45' with some restricted to a maximum of 35'.

Moorings are first come first served, $25/day, Harbormaster will come and collect, water taxi will take you in. Limited number of transient slips available also

Slips along the concrete wall are first come first serve with an hourly charge on the weekend (unless special event or reservation). The finger pier slips are overnight only on Thursday-Sunday and the charge is per foot I believe. They will take reservations for overnight slips. Annapolis also has a mooring system. Harbor master and water taxi monitor channel 68 (to the dismay of local fisherman).
