Default Delaware Bay

I plan on moving the boat next year from Crisfield Md where I keep the 22 Proline on the trailer to Cedar Creek Marina near Slaughters Beach. I would appreciate any input on the marina and the fishing in this area.

I used to keep my boat at Cedar Creek Marina. That was over a 2 year period. The owner, Marvin, is a great guy and always on site. All of the staff are great and willing to lend a hand in anything. I am assuming you have been over to look at the facility? They have made a lot of improvements since I was there and it was nice then.

You will be close to a lot of good fishing. The anchorage is just a couple of minute run. You will only be a half an hour run to Miah Maull light, Brandywine Light, and 14 Foot Light. All of these areas are good for trout, flounder, and croaker in the summer. In the fall, there is Brown Shoal for stripers. I never did it, but many people would run to Breakwater Shoal for tautog. Also, people would drum fish at night.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

From the pristine of the lower Cheaspeake to the mud of the Delawre Bay????? Are you crazy? The Delaware does have beeter October and November fishing especially for big rock - try at the Brown Shaol and the lower rips.

Thanks for the tips. I like fishing out of Crisfield but the weather and fishing was not that great this year, so I'll try something new for next year. I live in New Castle De, so the Delaware bay is a lot closer. I have visited the marina and I like what I see.

I have fished out of Cedar Creek for about 7 years. The last two years I have only been out of there once each year. The fishing is great , the people are very nice , but the Delawere bay will beat the hell out of you. In a few years I will be buying a 23 ft. WALK I will be back.
