Question for those of you at the show or in the know:
The navy blue 36' Invincible at the convention center leaning post had magnetic "latches" to keep the leaning post seat snug. They were four small shiny silver tabs (one pair one each end of the seat) about the size of a quarter that when the seat was down, held it down. Does anyone wnow who the manufacturer of these are?
Yellowfin, Sea Vee, Contender, SeaHunter in that order.
Having a sexy bilge doesn't make you go fast or catch more fish. Although it does seem to help sell the boat. And selling the boat first might be a higher priority in today's market. Not all people want to spend the extra "Bahama Boat Works" bling on their bilge compartments though. I know for a fact Alex is very sensitive about his bilge compartments....he's working on it. But add a couple extra bucks to your price tag. For a three year old boat manufacture they are heading in the right direction.
And usually at 5-10 mph faster than the competition.
yeah yf, cv, contender sea hunter. 2 with black and 2 with white.
the only thing that I see in the pics that looks kinda like a pain is where the batterys are locating behind that hatch. from the pic it looks like they would be hard to change, but maybe it is just the angle of the photo

These are really nice boats....but the "little" things I wonder about. The speakers mounted near the bottom of the transom; how long are they going to last if you actually fish that boat which I assume means you are going to use the washdown (fresh or raw) to clean out the cockpit???

I have them there too. 400 hours later they're good as new. I like the fact that Invincible uses a sea chest for the pumps. Less holes in the boat means less possible entry points. Most custom sportfishes do it like this also.
Also, I like that the wiring in the console is hidden. I usually stuff my console with bags when traveling, so I don't worry about something possibly grabbing and pulling a wire. That new t-top is nice!
Can someone point out to me where the fit and finish is inferior to other manufacturers? I can't wait 'til I'm ready to upgrade to the 36.
Here we go again with nothing but subjective opinions...but the question has been answered already with SV, YF, etc. The first pic of a bilge is my new 32 YF. All said, I went out in the 36 Inv and was very impressed...still not going to make these comments that one particular brand is superior over the other; really splitting hairs.

Hope to see you on the water this year...
Most definately. Congrats on your new boat. I originally wanted twin 350 Yamahas so I'm interested to see how the 32 YF behaves with them. I might be switching to 350Vs at the end of year.
