they have come a long way from the Skiff type design in the early 80's I really liked their design back then. They kept it in the affordable class back then and the boat still ran good

I think Cobia is one of the best family boats. In its price range it rides better, holds up better, and has a better layout than its competitors. I have ridden on almost all of their models. I like the 256 a lot. It isn't as good as the top brands, but it is a top mid-tier brand. I think it is a perfect boat for a family fisherman. We have been in big conditions and it handled well. Don't expect it to outperform a Contender or Yf, but it will get you to the spot.

i have a 2001 244 model, as said before it is a mid tier boat, but the quality and ride for the price is perfect nice comfortable family boat i love mine!
