Random Quote: We are sorry sir, but it's not wind damage, it is wind driven water damage, and therefore not covered by your wind damage clause
I still want to know what's with the 120v household style outlet in pic 27.
I have several on my 31 and they are power points when plugged into shore power so you dont have to drag extention cords on the boat if you need to work on something.
I own the 31 and had a cushion made so that wife and I sleep under the console works out really well....plenty of room.. Have to lay opposite directions but....hey...it works! (did not install a head under console)
41 Awesome pics and planes out so quick and smooth if the market ever turns around I will have to upgrade
Sure is a pretty boat. Only problem I see is all the hatches, they dont have gutter systems that channel the water out the sides and down to the back. Were does the water go when it builds up in the rim of the hatches? BILDGE, if so that sucks.
While it might not be obvious there is a gutter system around all the floor hatches. You can see the drain tubes in some of the photos, they all drain out the back scuppers. There are no gutters running around the outside or across the floor, I prefer it this way as its a cleaner look.

So they all have little tubes plumbed to the back? Wonder how long it would take for me to clog them up. I throw nets a lot and rinse tons of grass and mud of the deck. No thanks. Other than that they are nice boats.
The other feature on the hatch gutters is the double seals. One on the deck opening, another (offset) on the hatch lid. No leaks.
Those double gaskets are definitely water tight. The hardware used actually dogs down when you close the latch to compress the gaskets and form a water tight seal.
I rode the 41 at the miami show and it was definitley an impressive ride. Full of fuel (550+ gallons) she hit 54 with 5 people on board. Virtually no bow rise, boat just takes off and runs incredibly flat. Handeling was very impressive for its size, handled like a 31 footer. Incredible fit and finish and coming back we found a solid 3-4 boat wake and hit it wide open, boat never launched and hardly even felt it. If it wasn't for that 325K base price tag..... 42 YF seemed like a much better value since you can get out of the weather better, have a place to sleep and shower and can get a genset and AC for less than the bahama.
I looked at the one with the hull wrap, that would be my dream boat if it had 2 yanmar diesels in it. One day when I retire from fishing I'll build one like that. Just big enough but not too big. One of the best CC boats at the show.
After owning two Contenders, I too thought the step deck would be an issue. After three fishing seasons, no one has fallen from it, which I guess is what the main beef is, and the positives far outweigh it. No more fish swool draining into the bilge like the Contender boxes if you don't have macerators, and obviously then no macerators to fool with, since the boxes drain easily overboard, and the lower gunnel height up there makes bow fishing very easy. Don't have crew fights for space at the stern. My 9 year old son fishes up there most of the time. On a comparable Yellowfin or Contender, he could not do that, based on the gunnel height and width up forward due to the level deck. This initially was my biggest concern coming from a Contender, but now it's become a substantial positive.
