These boats are beautiful with terrific fit and finish. I just would like to see much less wiring in the console. Why don't they hide the wiring behind false walls as in the SeaVee and others? When you have children on the boat I would prefer the wiring hidden and not exposed.

It does look like a work of art, but me personally I would like to remove a fiberglass panel and admire it.

Or do like Cabo and put the electrical panel behind glass/plexi so you can worship at "the altar" and not worry about shocking the carp out of curious fingers.

That would be the ticket!!! I'm sure if asked Yellowfin would do something like that as it would most likely not be too difficult for them to do something like that if you are paying for it. Like I think it was Brett's boat that had teak & holly soal in the floor of the console which probably hasn't been done before.

The love affair with Yellowfin I believe is because the ride is fantastic, it's fuel efficient, quality top-top tier, things are laid out very well for fishing including access to systems when critical, you can customize through the factory, & you can talk with the owner of the company anytime. Oh, and they are just pretty.

Exactly, why hide it if it looks good. No need to hide it, everything is secure and snug. Personally I like it exposed, if I want to work on something I can do it right away especially if I am 100 miles offshore. If you want covered wireing ask Wylie im sure he will do it, or go buy something else.

I agree, YF has wonderful lines kind of an update on the old broken sheer of the Carolina battlewagons...though, not a true work of art, IMO. Molded boats cannot be works of art.

I'd be curious to see their manufacturing process as that would tell me alot about the real quality of the product, I'll have to get in there soon.

so how much more could the simrad boat have possibly been loaded down? why would someone carry way more fuel than they need and way more ice that is needed to fish ska in key west? The invincible ran the same distance as the rest of the boats therefore they were carrrying enough fuel . i am not trying to cause an argument just asking.... how fast did simrad with trip 350vs run at the show?

Knotup- I too am curious about these issues regarding the race since I'am looking closely at both of these boats.I have heard stories about what both boats were carrying for fuel and bait.It is my understanding that Invincible had 320 gals fuel and 1 livewell full, while others say it was empty I still do not know who to believe. The video clearly showed Invincible blwoing by everyone.

lets not do this, especially under a yellowfin thread, we can speculate to the truth about the weight of that boat on that day, but very few know the truth. Lets say this "BOTH BOATS ARE VERY FAST FISHING MACHINES"

lets hope the G.S. settles the issue.

Personally I don't see how a boat can run that much faster than any other boat out there without something done to the boat.. the engines completely modified.. Extremely light.. who knows.. there is no way that that boat had normal 350's full of ice fuel gear livewells..... if Invincibles were that fast of boats then wouldn't you have seen more than one invincible way out... even running with the simrad boat... I think it is pretty obvious they were there for a race, not to fish

The G.S. seems to me its becoming a race event not a fishing tourny... If speed is what your looking for, then buy a speed boat.... Is this going to be someones reason to buy a boat cause it goes 2 or 3 mph faster than the competitor ???

Take this garbage somewhere else, if you do a search it has been beat to death on many other threads and web sites.

I agree with most people on here. Who cares what boat is 2-3 m.p.h. faster. I think the YF is a BEAUTIFUL boat that is fast.I also think the invincible is a good looking boat that might be a little faster, but even if the 33 invincible is faster than the 32 yellowfin I will still be placing a order on a 32 YF on my 25th b-day as a present to myself after seeing ANTHEM"S ride. That boat looks incredible but I would like to see a step down head in the console. Do you think that might be an option in the near future Wylie?
.

Congratulations, the 32' is IMO, the best twin engine boat on the market today. I am not sure if Wylie would custom make a 32' with a step down in the head or not you would have to ask him personally. Fuel tanks are there so, something would have to be done about that for starters.
