Boat Show pix vs. Website Pix vs. Event Pix It seemed to me this year at the Miami Boat Show I didn't get the feeling like there were any "must see" boats other than Rock Salt and a few others.
The displays weren't all that mind-blowing either. I lugged around a heavy camera for 3 days and felt a bit disappointed with the photo ops.
Since there was a lack of NEW model boats this year where pictures are concerned, honestly the ones manufacturers offer on their websites are probably the best to view. When I photo an Event I try to capture the ambiance of the Event. A picture that I take of a console etc is not going to be good as the ones they offered on their websites.
A good example of a useful picture from the boat show would be the wiring photo kerno posted or the 5 engine Midnight Express (like it or not) or a custom tower.
A photo of a 2007 24' CC - not so much.
I enjoy looking at everyones pictures here but don't feel there's the "can't wait" expectations from years past.
Oh, and yes, I'm aware of the poor economy. But it's nice to still be "wowed" when attending a trade show. |
