r-joy thanks wind crow, i dont really know if i will be able to find a decent sisu that i can afford to buy,but my present boat is a 1986, 20 foot sportcraft, that i repowered in 2001.i put an armstrong bracket on the back with a new yamaha 130hp engine. its a great fishing platform, but gas mileage is bad , i call it ,an suv on water. the semi displacement hull, seems like the way to go. good fuel economy, good seakeeping capability, and having enough space to fish.20 knots top end speed is just fine for my inshore boating. r-joy

Dear R-Joy,
The changes that we made to the design of the hull was to add a molded in spray rail than ran from stem to stern. It began at the transom and followed the sheer line to the bow. The extra lateral stablity of a flat surface at the water line aft was all that it too to let the boat run out with more power. We also redesigned the interior structure with a revers molded grid pattern that created 6 fiberglass bulkheads and a glassed in box around the perimeter of the boat. The grid pattern divided the boat into three sections. We created a V-berth mold for the forward section and a series of deck molds to accomodate inboard, outboard, or IO power. The companionway was eliminated from the cabin mold to allow it to be placed to the owner's specifications. Most chose a center companionway. We further built new side decks and a windshield mold to create a Bass Boat Style boat.
