here is what we do when desperate, troll by the bridge lights with artificials when the sun just goes down, you can see the snook down there (did this after thanksgiving they may be still there, not 100%)
I prefer to anchor on the north side of the mouth of the inlet by the 35ish ft everglades boat (cant miss it) do this at night and be careful. I use cut mullet as bait toss into the middle of the inlet you will get some catfish but also some mangroves. Usually try to have some live bait, put out mouth of the inlet he will find the rocks and get eaten. Be safe.
If you want to head up river work the docks. The spots I have targeted are not hard to find they look like spots that hold fish.
