Hi there. I saw a post where you talked about your family's boat, which was an Everglades 230CC. I was down in the Keys today and was intending to look at a 243CC, but the sales person showed me the 230CC and, candidly, I liked it a lot. I need to go back for a sea trial, but since I saw you offered someone else input on your 230CC, I wanted to write and ask you what you could share about it - pros and cons. Thanks!

Ben, that is way, way, way cool! I'm concerned about the lack of tackle storage on the 230. Was this a custom build? Would you mind if I contacted your fab guy and discussed him making a similar unit for mine? Thanks, Scott p.s. we're supposed to 'unveil' the boat Monday morning in Long Beach. I'll send pictures. sau

Hey Ben, I really like the cover you had made for the weather. Is it just for when you are anchored or do you have snaps or something for the bottom so you can run with it on?

Also, did you know the Yamaha 250 puts out 265 HP at the prop?

I am loving it! I can't tell you how happy I am with the 250 Yamaha. I was really worried it was underpowered but it is great. I get 2.9 MPG at 30 knots! I hear good things about the Suzuki but bad things about the service network. Many complaints of waiting for months for parts. I am glad I stayed with Yamaha. Did you see that Yamaha is coming out with all new engines including a 300 HP that is way lighter? All of them seem much lighter and faster. I would not wait because you won't find that great deal.

hey Ben, haven't been around for a while. You still liking your 230CC? Me & my girl are still looking for one, but we really want one with the Suzuki 300hp.

I love the 230. I could not be happier! I never trialed the 210. How is it? Basically, they are the same boat with the exception of the stretch amid ships. Let's keep in touch and share stories. I installed the electronics package myself which gave me a better understanding of the construction, etc.. Let me know If I can help. Tell me if you have any issues and I will do the same.

Thanks for the iput to my post regarding the 210. I was seriously looking at the 230, but went with the 210 because of the price and size. The 230 seemed like a much better off shore boat, but 210 was a bit less expensive and I easier to maneuver in tight spaces when skiing.

I actually picked my 210 this weekend and launched it yesterday.

Are you happy with your 230?

The next best deal I could get was just under $60K with no trailer. Good luck!

Not yet. Supposed to sea trial it this week. We made a (low) offer and I think the seller's are "stringing us out" along with another buyer to see what's best for them.
