Default mounting standard horizon GPS antenna

The antenna does not have the little slit that lets you bring the cable outside the mount instead of through it. None of the antenna mounts have a large enough hole through them except for the fixed mounts. Is there another way of mounting, like taking the antenna apart and feeding the cable though that way, or am I missing something here.

I really just want to mount a rail mount base on our t-top so we will not have to poke holes through the canvas.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I see that the cable is splicable. Is it just coax? The last antenna I tried to splice had ~7 wires in it and was shielded, needless to say it didn't work when I spliced it back.

Hi School, I just pulled one apart. If you take the gps antenna mushroom and remove all the screws and pop it open you will see a tiny connector you can remove that holds all the wires. This looks to be small enough to pull through a hole in any off the shelf mount. I think this is your best bet to doing it without cutting any wires. Let me know if you need a more detailed explanation. You can call too.

Thanks

When I start opening stuff up and I have no clue about what I'm doing, things tend to go south real quickly.

Sounds easy enough. Thanks Jim.
