Default Hds 8 no depth

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the update re the sw update for the hds unit

Have had no depth data able to be displayed recently. Transceiver looks fine, water temp is there. Any clue or suggestions how to dig the problem?

Thanks

John c

So the FF works but it will not display a depth number?

The ff displays highly inaccurate depth in the graphical display area, just dashed lines in the numerical format area, I do have accurate temp info

The first step to troubleshooting is to call Lowrance and see if they can dig into their troubleshooting trees to figure it out. 2nd I would try a new ducer. Third I would send the display back. The unit should work very well all the time.

Go into the advance menus to the devices section and do an "auto configure" on the devices - sometimes when connecting different devices it will get mixed up on what it should use for various sensors - I've had this happen to for temp readings before.... sorry, I don't remember the specific sequence of buttons to get you there, but it was pretty obvious when you're navigating through the menus....
