Default HDS compatible W/NSE?

I have an HDS-10, and want second MFD. Can HDS and NSE be networked together? For instance if I use the NSE to control AP24, can BR24 be viewed on either HDS or NSE? Would structure scan be able to be viewed on either MFD? Share the same transducer?
Thanks,

Good Q's. I suggest calling Simrad. i know structure scan will show up on both. The regular FF ducer likely will and the radar should. However I have had no reason to test this so I thinks its best for Simrad to field the Q. The pilot will connect via Simnet/NMEA2000 so it will connect like normal to both units.

Are you able to display the HDS sounder at the NSE? (Using HDS as Broadband Sounder)

It should be but these are 2 different brands and software platforms, so we're still trying to figure it all out.

HDS and NSE shares the same software platform. The question is if Navico has put in limitations when it comes to sharing sonar data to protect their high end marked tier.

Maybe on some backend software level they are the same, but on the user interface side they are very different. Nobody would ever know they even remotely have the same software (if they do).

Both units are running Linux operating system. Navico are using a framework called Qt for implementing the application code and user interfaces. By using this tool it simple to run the same software platform at different hardware platforms and also to implement different looking user interfaces.
