Default lowrance hds5x

I have a lowrance hds 5x, i glued the transducer in the bilge, it works great, but I feel im losing fish finding capabilities, also it doesnt work that great at 200mhz. Is it possible to add a second transducer and switch between them? If so what equipment will I need

You will need this switch - http://www.boemarine.com/Products/46-26/Default.aspx

and you can add any Lowrance transducer you want with a blue plug as a 2nd ducer. You are likely losing sensitivity on your ducer with how its mounted. It is possible to mount them that way but easy to get bubbles in your adhesive under the ducer which will screw it up.
