Default gp31-32 display

GP31 Furuno: my display has black lines running through it and they are becoming worse. Almost to the point as to render the screen unreadable. Furuno says it is cheaper to buy another unit than repair. Can I get just the display head?

We only have it with the GPS antenna. Honestly, if they sold the components separately the antenna and display would probably cost twice as much as what the GP32 currently costs. There are certain units where it seem sFuruno throws in the GPS antenna for free. The GP32 and 1920C are both examples of this. - http://www.boemarine.com/Products/GP32/Default.aspx

thanks for the info, the 31 is mostly just a backup to the plotter. for 400.00 I may just go without or put the garmin back on as a secondary. It is hard to believe that the original unit can't be repaired for less than the cost of a new unit with accessories. I sure didn't expect this from Furuno.
