Default Hds 8

Jim, My Lowrance BBS 1 just quit on me and I believe it's been at least 1 1/2 years since I bought it from you, so out of warranty. I'm thinking of upgrading to an HDS 8 and just have a few questions. Is the sonar plug on the back still blue, or would I need some kind of blue to red adapter for my B 164 ducer? I think I read somewhere that if you dash mount it the built in GPS ant won't work. Is that true, and if so would my current LGC 2000 work with it? And finally, do you have the HDS 8 in stock? Thanks, Chris

We do have the HDS-8 in stock, the LGC2000 should work just fine with an adapter (blue to red). The ducer you have now will plug right into the HDS unit. And I think it will work fine without an external antenna when flush mounted in most cases, however, you may need to go with an external antenna. I'd try it w/o first and see how it does. These new antennas are very sensitive.
