I am thinking about buying the C80 radar package but I was wondering how much more it would cost to upgrade to the 4kw dome and would I be able to spot birds with a 4kw dome on calmer days.

On calmer days a 4kW radar will see birds ok, but I would never encourage somebody to buy less than a 6kW array for finding birds. The 4kW dome is about $500 more than the 2kW dome. The components of the radar package are not exchangeable though, you would just need to order the C80, Raystar antenna, and 4kW dome.
