Default Navnet vx2 or 3d

Jim have you ever rigged a Shamrock 270 open?? I'm having a tough time making the decision on which system to go with, I fish the Chesapeake Bay a lot and am starting to venture offshore, From what I have read the 3d coverage in the bay leaves a lot to be desired but is supposed to be getting updated, With the 3d I'll only be able to run the mfd8 monitors(2 of em) as I don't think I can even get one 12 inch in the console, but with the vx2 I think 2 10.4 inch monitors will fit, it will be very tight but I think it would look great and with the cards the coverage will be great, I think a 6kw open array and a 1kw transducer would exceed my needs but better to rig with overkill.....any input would be greatly appreciated and how what about an auto pilot?? What works best with the aforementioned systems, and last but not least on a cost basis what makes the most sense?? Is the vx2 gonna be outdated in the next 5 years, The 3d looks great from what I have seen on the internet but I haven't fished one in a real world application, is this an apples to oranges comparison?? Money wise what's the difference in cost?? I know I've asked a lot of questions but I'm just trying to make an informed decision.....
Thanks
Tight Lines
Monty

I have a baby in my lap and am typing with 1 finger. I would be typing for the next 2 hours to thoroughly answer your q's. Better to discuss this via phone anyway, just give me a call tomorrow.

Once the PS3 is out, you will not find me looking to buy the PS2 at any price.

I suppose if you could find a way to make those 12.1's fit, the decision would be easy.

My new Navnet 3D installed without a hitch. It's very nice.
