There seems to be alot of choices on the Furuno site for transducers. I'm considering a FCV295 Which transducer would be the right choice for 100-200 Fathoms deep dropping How do the shoot thru hull transducers
please b mail me some prices
Thanks
Tim

It really depends on what kind of boat you have. What do you have? Do you want 1kw or 2 kw?

It's a 28' Topaz I do 8 to 10 offshore trips a year and expect to do quite a bit of deep dropping in depts of 100-200 Fathoms. How much of an advantage is 2kw in those depths?

A 1kW ducer will be really nice, a 2kw would be noticably better. On a unit like the FCV-295 I think its a waste to use anything other than a 2kW ducer. Do you have a big space inside the hull to mount a 2kw in-hull? This ducer would be nice but needs a lot of space - R199
