Default Raytheon L760RC Question

Jim,

I recently purchased a boat with a Raytheon L760 (HSB2 Plus) GPS/Depth sounder installed on it. I am considering keeping the unit if I can network in a used GPS or some other display in which I can separate the depth sounder and GPS screen. I am also considering something that I can add radar to at a later date.

Which color units can I interface with? I noticed most of the items have a C, RC or CRC included in the model number, does that correspond to C (color), RC (monochrome raychart or gps function) and CRC (color raychart).

Could I connect my existing L760CRC to a L760C, RL80C, RL70C and display the GPS on that unit, or does the added unit need to be a CRC unit to display GPS information? For example, If I purchase a L760C can I only use the display for depth sounder info (70C or 80C radar only. with no overlay..)?

I am very unfamiliar with these electronics, so I want to be able to make a somewhat informed decision on what I need to do.

If this would be easier to discuss over the phone, let me know.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Default Re: Raytheon L760RC Question

I am really rusty on that stuff. Geez, its been about 5 years since I have seen that stuff! You will need a unit with a "C" to have it share show gps/chart data. I would recommend calling Raymarine for advice on this 800-539-5539.
