I've been trying for a while to get my SIMRAD unit to send speed info to my LMF-400 so I can track/optimize mpg on my Grady. The output on the CX-34 unit is NMEA 0183. I bought the recommended SIMNET to connector (from BOE - actually got an upgraded cable at no charge - thanks!) but still no luck. The other devices on the backbone work (fuel flow and trim tab indicators). I hate to go the additional antenae route since I don't have a hardtop on the boat. Any way to "test" that the SIMRAD output is working? Thanks.
