Jim I have a Digital antenna on my boat that has split, it was stepped on when my t-top was installed. Anyway I want to replace it, It is a 4' model 528 and while looking on your site I see a 564-EW for 80.00 and a 528-EW for 49.00. What is the real difference? I am an inshore fisherman and rarely go more than a few miles off the coast and the 4' I have has given me good performance ( it has been wrapped with electrical tape for a year ).It is mounted on top of my t-top so 4' seems to be good. Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks Ted.

I've been looking at the Digita Antenna's and I think the 528 is not an antenna but an antenna "Extension"

The 564-EW is a 4' Tapered antenna extender and the 528-EW is a 4' Straight antenna extender.

The difference between the 564-EW and the 528-EW is the OD (outside diameter). The tapered extender starts at 1.5" and shrinks to 1" at the top for cosmetics for smaller antennas. The Straight extender has a 1" OD the whole length of the rod.

Both of these have 1"-14 threads on the top, so any marine style antenna with these threads can attach to the top.

Well after checking the Digital website I feel like a real dummy, both of you guys were right, it was the extender I was looking at, not the antenna. I believe that the one I want is the 528-VW.
