Default Instrument Panel

Hey guys, has anyone constructed their own instrument panel out of star board or any other marine lumber type material? I have several toggle switches I will have to install on mine and I am trying to figure out the best way to label them. Paint does not adhere to plastic very well plus my lettering skills are very poor to say the least. Is there some type of small stenciling kit? Do you recommend the Krylon paint for patio furniture? The panel will be exposed to the elements. I like the Carlisle type rocker panel switches, but they are very large and very expensive. I bought all new gauges and would like this panel to look sharp. Any tips or hints will be greatly appreciated.

NOTHING sticks to Starboard. I would use a small subpanel from BlueSea, that includes labels
