Default Furuno, Northstar, Garmin, Raymarine, which one, WHY?

OK Jim, I'm your statistical, emperical data kind of guy so I need measurables. I've owned all of the electronics I've listed in the subject heading and was able to figure out how to use them all, so lets not consider ease of use a factor. Let me give you some background info, I'm a commercial rod & reel fisherman for stripers and fluke and fish some ASA and FLW tournaments. I've descided to give the Humminbird 997 pre-loaded a shot this season, I'm very impressed by what I've seen of this model. I'm going to install another combo unit thats primarily for radar depending on the performance of the 997. Everybody has their favorites, I'm leaning towards a 6000or 6100. Can you give me some concrete standards that seperate these units rather than just subjective opinions, not that I don't respect or recognize you as an authority, it's just that there have to be some measurable differences-watts, pixels and daylight viewing, beamwidth(open array or dome),cartography, radar overlay, high def, weather options, etc. What are the basics that seperate these units that should make me favor one over another. I appreciate and thank you for input.

All I have are subjective opinions. I would need to retype every product manual to properly address this question. Most manufacturers have the manuals on their sites so you can find the measurable specifications there. I have no idea how much you want to spend, if the chartplotter is important, etc, etc, etc. If radar is the primary function of the second unit I wouold look towards a Furuno unit.
