Default Change from Navman 4380 to Navman 3100

Jim,

I currently have a Navman 4380 fishfinder. I will be switching to a Raymarine ds500x. I have two questions for you. Is it possible to turn off the sonar on the 4380 and just run fuel computer? If not and I switch to Navman 3100 can I still use the fuel transducer that is already hooked up to the 4380?

PS: I will be purchasing the Raymarine and 3100 from you very shortly.

THANKS,
Mike L.

The fuel sender you have now is compatible. They have a very short service life so i would buy a complete system when you get the F3100, now called a Northstar F310. You can easily turn off the sonar by unplugging the transducer. I don't know if there is a menu option to do it though.

Jim,

If I disconnect Transom Mount transducer to disable sonar will unit still provide fuel computer information? I don't want to purchase F310 unless I absolutely have to.

Thanks,
Mike lazos

Unless you know something I don't I am not sure why the transducer would affect the fuel computer. Is there something obvious I am missing?
