can you turn off the keypad lights on this unit
to save batery power?
i cant find anything in owners manual.
we had a raytheon unit before and you could turn them off - nice feature.
I understand it's not a 100-watt light bulb.
Based on your previous postings you're no 100-watt light bulb yourself. Any power savings on a 12-volt system is helpful. Back lighting on electronics does consume power. Depending on number of LED's used could be about a 1/2-watt times 3 to 4 pieces of electronics could be close to 2 watts of wasted power. Drift fishing all day with electronics on, this could add up. Any hoo that's only my opinion. Thanks for the replies.
IMHO you need to educate yourself on the power consumtion of your electronics versus your battery capacity and motor recharging capabilities. As Thom stated, those led's are not consuming much. Your comment in regards to RinoReeler response are inappropriate.
