Default Can' t read temp. from B260 Transducer

I recently installed a thru the hull Airmar B260 transducer connected to a Lowrance LCX25C unit. I understand that this ducer has temp feature but my Lowrance unit doesn't read the temp and in fact says no data when I try to get temp on the unit. Does anyone have any ideas and to what is going on???

Check the wiring, otherwise send it back.

Was the B260 ordered with the connection wired for your Lowrance, or did you wire up the connector yourself ? Those conxal connectors are very small for 6-7 pins. It may be a problem with a broken or shorted connection on one of the wire connections to the connector. If you have to send something back, what you you return first .... the xducer or the fishfinder ?
