The new Raymarine Tracking works great. I turned it on to track at 2 second intervals and it was equal to my old Garmin tracking. Did get a warning that my track was full that I had to acknowledge as I was approaching the jetties at night.

Yeah, I love the manual adjustment feature much better than the auto one. I'm still struggling on determining the optimal period for a full day of fishing. Two seconds doesn't allow a very long track; only 30 minutes given the 1000 point limitation per track.
With the 2 second track, you will put down a line better than the Garmin GPS track, however, I am very surprised at how quick the unit runs out of memory.
I'm going to try the 5 second track and see how it affects the accuracy of the line.

John---I agree with you! I have a few spots offshore that are 30-40 miles. That 2 second thing aint gonna hack it If you figure that best way to leave a track for 60-80 miles....let me know.
I was playing around with this and ran into the same problem.
For me the solution was to just save the 'full' track, and start another. Then when you 'show' both tracks you can see your whole course. (except for the few seconds it takes to save and start a new track).
