Re: Garmin weather I would think that sea surface temperature means exactly that. If one satelite can pick up a warm eddy that has 73 degree water that has been there for over 2 weeks and it is large, then why can't the satelite that Garmin uses pick it up. I bought this so I didn't have to join a satelite service and thought that it would give me a more accurate reading since I would always have it with me offshore.
As far as settings, I don't know of any that I have missed. It clearly states that the water sea surface temp is 51 degrees but I know that it is 73 degrees. This is quite a big difference. |
