I was watching OLN Fishing Show on Sunday AM. There was an ad for a new download for your cell phone. You can see it at the following site: https://secure.my-cast.com/weatherscout.jsp .
or wxscout.com. Apparently the program is being marketed by Gander Mountain. It can be downloaded on any cell phone. It has live radar and ability to zoom in, live wind direction, wind speed, barometer, temp, moon phase, satellite view, etc. It cost $5 per month on Verizon plus air time. Kind of neat especially for Bay and ability to see where the storms are. I have been playing with it for a few days now and like it. The only problem is with color screens on cell phone it is hard to see when out on the water. Check it out, you can download a free sample of it on your cell phone. You can plug in any zip code.
If have a Treo 650 and can bring up www.intellicast.com radar when I am in range of a cell tower. It may not have all the info as your recommendation but it's free.
Not only can you get intellicast for free but there are several web sites which offer wind speed, wave height, water temps and all the buoy wave data and it's all free. I get all the beach web cams with my treo as well so now I can see if the beach is crowded before I make my journey there.
I really like that site. The data looks awesome. I sure wish cell coverage was offshore 40miles.....I wonder if a cell antenna on my boat would really make a significant difference?
As long as you can access the internet via mobile phone you can get anything on your phone which you get on your PC but the screen on the razor would be smaller.
I made a mount for my Treo in my E Box and it provides power and connects the Treo to my stereo so I can listen to MP3's while out on the boat.
I know this pales in comparison to what you get from Garmin's weather service but I think it's got enough basic info to save me if there is a thunderstorm...
Although the site you list is cool (just checked it out) there are many free sites you can check out which offer better details. Do a THT search on smartphone and a thread started by me to see a few links. Some need to be updated...

Be CAREFUL of intellicast radars. I have seen them lag almost 2 hours behind real time sometimes.....ALWAYS notice the time on top of each frame.
Weather Underground seems to be a lot more reliable with real time radar....
Firefly, see how the NOAA nowcoast site comes up on your treo. This site has everything. I know that you can change the URL to have it come up at a pre-determined lat-long window.
It shows the current cloud and rain picture, plus winds, etc at the offshore buoy sites.
I'd like to know how it works on PDAs - I don't have that toy.
I have used My-Cast for a year now, the only problem I have with it is not the My-Cast but the small cell phone screen. My screen is almost impossible to see in direct daylight. I recently got the Garmin WX so wont be using the MC that much on board anymore. BigGrin
Thanks for the link - cool site! I can't call it up on my Treo but I'll keep trying. Many times these sites have a special url for PDA's so the image will fit the screen.
