Default Raymarine Service Outstanding

I returned my Raymarine C80 that I purchased new last July to Raymarine Customer Service. I had some areas on the screen where the coating had worn off. I mailed it last Monday from Maryland to Raymarine in New Hampshire. I traced the package that I mailed and Raymarine received it on Wednesday. Raymarine put a new screen on and updated the software. They saved my way points and re-loaded them and bench tested. As mentioned they received it on Wednesday at 11AM. They fixed everything under warranty and shipped it back to me on Friday via DSL (all at no charge). I just received it Monday AM. Monday out and the following Monday back in my hands. WOW!

I have been a Raymarine guy for sometime. RAYMARINE SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING and unusual in this day and age. Kudos to Raymarine, may Raymarine live long and prosper!
I have recieved this kind of service from Raymarine rep in the past. Thanks RM, Raymarine is a terrific Company.

Great I like hearing that kind of news!

I have the C80 also and have been cleaning the screen with the special cloth they provide with the unit, and still have "rainbow" like smears on the screen, could you post the # and ext. of whom you delt with so I could try my luck with em?
Thanks

Hi Victory, I just sent it back Priority Mail, insured with tracking to the Customer Service Department listed on Raymarine site in Manchester, NH. Just included a copy of my original receipt and note about what problem was. I had contacted them prior to sending via their website, they said just send it back with original receipt. Did not need a RA (return authorization number) or anything. Raymarine Service Department tracks the unit by the serial #. I had ordered a screen protector from Navprotector.com ($12) and put it on (also available from purplemoo.com but more expensive). Hopefully, I will be much more careful with cleaning and not mess up the screen again. The RM Tech said to use distilled water and cloth that came with unit to clean. With screen protector it will be harder for me to mess up. With salt water spray it is difficult not to mess the coating up on the original screen.
