Default Silencing alarm on C-80 Raymarine

Has anyone developed a way to permanently silence the arrival alarm on the Ray C-Series unit. I realize you can hit the acknowledge button but I would be doing that 40 times a day the way I fish. My idea of tranquility on the water isn't listening to an arrival alarm 40 times a day. (I drift and idle back to my spots all day long). The setup menus don't let you silence the alarm. I am looking for a way to open the unit and disable beeping little Bast*)&.!! Congratulations to who ever the idiot was at Raymarine that decided I had to have an arrival alarm. I am guessing some attorney made that decision as most sane people want the option of not hearing their unit beaping at them every time they change spots. Surely I am not the only one this irritates to no end!

Not sure if it is possible to silence the alarm but if you are just drifting back to a spot why not just hit "STOP GOTO" - then the unit isn't trying to navigate to the spot anymore and you can just watch your track to see where you are in relation to the waypoint and not be bothered by the alarm - "problem" solved...

What FreeByrd said. It still would give you distance and bearing, and the waypoint would still show on the chart. You can edit the waypoint marker and then filter the chart so that it is not too clutterred with other waypoints.
