What's the benefit of the KVH Autocomp 1000 vs. Azimuth 1000 as a E120 heading sensor?

Seems like the specs are the same but the Azimuth 1000 is $100 cheaper and has a readable compass card. Would one be better than another for autopilot applications? Thanks.

The azimuth 1000 is the actual electronic compass you have installed on your dash. It has some nice features. The other is simply as compass sensor that only give you a nema electronic compass signal. I have the azimuth 1000 and raymarine said it would do the job for my c-120 compass heading. So far it works good for my they come in white and black

Any reason why the azimuth 1000 is cheaper than the autocomp? Also, I was thinking of installing the KVH azimuth 1000 in the cabin. Seems like, I would like to keep my magnetic compass on the dash. Thanks.
