Default Best Black Box Radio?

I need a new radio for my 23 Parker. I would prefer to no have to flush mount anything. I've seen some "black box radios" so to speak where its just a radio and you can operate it through a Simrad NSS Evo 2. Any suggestions on which radio is best and what all hardware I will need to run it through my Simrad.

you cannot.... you can use the NSS for DSC calling and polling, but not communications....

I really like the Simrad RS90 if you can swallow the price tag....
I com makes a black box as well but it is pricey too..

you could use a VHF with a remote mic and mount the radio in tho console...

Then you are talking about a stereo..... If you have Simrad electronics you would use the Simrad sonic hub 2

Stereo - you will need either the Simrad or Lowrance Sonichub, an N2K starter kit, and speakers. The Lowrance Sonichub comes with 2 speakers.

I have the sonichub. It works fine. Controlled through my evo2s. Not loud, but I can add an amp and upgrade speakers at any time.

I use a Fusion MS-BB300R and can control it on my NSS EVO2 via the built in Simrad Fusion-Link function, or with the remote. It is all NEMA 2K.
