Default garmin gps off 10 miles

I have a garmin 7212 that came w the boat when I bought it. Once I entered my own numbers it shows them 10 miles off to the south. Map datum is correct as well as the format. Please help

Then your waypoints are wrong. Or you assumption about where they are supposed to be is wrong.

If you open the waypoint details, what does it say the gps coordinates are and does the symbol indeed appear at that location when you hover over it?

If yes, you entered them wrong. If not, it's garmins issue.

But I haven't heard of a 10 mile charting error before. Some people complain about 50 feet in some locations, but 10 miles isn't a minor error. Someone would have seen this before.
