Default totalscan transducer installed


finally got it mounted
now to sand and redo the bottom paint yuck.

Looks high. May need to lower it. Could just be camera angle though.

Jim its level with hull bottom does it need to be lower than the bottom of the hull

The instructions say to mount it as yours is, level with the bottom....but I mounted mine slightly lower than that based on experience with other transducers. I'm getting some breakup in the signal while on plane, especially in a chop; I think mine may need to be lowered a bit more. I may try to tilt it slightly down angle at the rear and see if that helps (also against instructions).

Bottom line if you follow instructions it will be mounted too high to work well on plane. I think yours will need to be lowered. I would experiment with it before messing with bottom paint.

If i drop it below the black line 3\4on the transducer that is a dark stripe all the way around is that too deep in the water
