Garmin 3205 or 3206? - The Hull Truth

Yikes! I'm not sure. Will the 1" display difference really be the big of a deal? Price wise it sure is. My concern is that I do plan on adding a few extras such as radar and XM weather and I just don't know if 1" would really matter that much.

I know these models are not out yet (at least I haven't seen them) but when they are I want to make sure I make the right choice.

Not that I couln't use the 276C that I have now but I like the idea of having 1 unit to multi task.

Thoughts?

I have a 3005 and my best friend has a 3006 - there is a diff in the one inch - esp if you have FF going thru it - I opted for the 3005 as that was the size that would fit but I would pay the money for the 06 if I had the room...

I actually just installed a 3006 as my second unit. I looked at both the 3005 and the 3006 and felt like the 3006 was right much more readable then the 3005.

At the Miami show, I saw both the 3206 and 3205. Though the difference is "only" one inch, that's actually quite a bit of screen real estate. The difference is, to me, very significant. Given the space and the budget, with your intention to use XM and possibly radar, I'd strongly suggest the 3206.
