Exclamation Elite 4 won't read charts from micro SD

Hey guys, my Lowrance froze the other day, so I did an update and now its working perfectly again, except I can't upload my old waypoints to it. Before I did the update I saved my waypoints on my mac. Now when I try to put them back onto a micro SD card, it sees the files but says there are no useable files on the card. Fishing is my business and for a week or so, I've been fishing without years of waypoints. Really need some help here. I'm using a FAT format card as it doesn't work with FAT32 apparently, they are saved as unix executable files, and for some reason there is 3 files, large, medium and small. I've tried everything I can, been googling for weeks too, still no solution. Really hope you guys can help because fishing season is getting hot here.

Cheers

Tobin

I am having this issue as well. The card can't be over 32 gb and it also needs to be a "slow" chip. If you look closely on the chip, there is a little number in circle. Mine was 10. I just went out and bought one that is 4. Going to install today

Normaly settings are saved as .set and waypoints as .usr or .gpx. Large, medium and exe sounds to me like a map, probably Insight Genesis.

Hey, well my card already is a 4 not a 10! Let me know how you go, because I really need to get this sorted. If it has saved it as a map, can I convert it back to my waypoints? I have well over 300 saved and really can't afford to lose them all.

This is how they appear now:

INN20327_LARGE.AT5
INN20327_MEDIUM.AT5
INN20327_SMALL.AT5

Thanks

Those files are map files. Waypoint files have a .usr extension. Are you sure you saved the waypoints from your plotter to the card?

Pretty sure I saved them all yes. I have them in .usr files also, but neither will load up on the finder. Its driving me nuts to be honest. Do I have to convert them to something different?

Save the USR-file to your PC and reformat the card to FAT32, use the full reformat not the quick one. Then load the USR-file back on the card and try again.
