Default Garmin GPSMAP 178C sounder
I just recently bought a Garmin GPSMAP 178C Sounder. I am looking to purchase detailed mapping software for it. Bluechart or Mapsource? Or any other reccomendations? I mostly fish in Southern Louisiana and Southern Texas....all coastal fishing

I recently bought the 182C, never have used one before and really dont know that much about other units. Got the Blue Chart chip for it for this area (Destin) and am happy with it, it has all the detail i need. I plan to remain in this area and stick around the intracoastal and withn 30 miles of coast offshore. Dont know anything about Mapsource. I would advise you to go to a dealer that has them and compare. Just my 2cents.
